Your university experience is shaped by the people you meet and the friendships you make. Heathfield offers a welcoming home for students at Norwich University of the Arts, UEA and other Norwich HE institutions, at various stages of study and from different disciplines. We aim to provide an opportunity for our student residents to build lasting and enriching friendships in a community setting where you can broaden your outlook by mixing with people doing a range of subjects.

We offer affordable accommodation in a diverse community home for 44 students in 6 flats of classic halls-style accommodation near to the heart of the city.

At the moment we are listed as #1 Norwich student accommodation on the Studentcrowd review website. The most recent review (from a 3rd year at NUA) says: 'Best student accommodation experience I had! Landlords are very welcoming and helpful. Location is good, I liked taking the riverside walk to NUA every week, and the property is well maintained and issues are resolved quickly.'

And a UEA student said this on Facebook: 'I used to live at Heathfield for a short term tenancy and can vouch that it is a great place to live as a student! Very affordable and David and Sarah were very kind and accommodating to my needs 😅. You will meet a wide range of people there and it is also very accessible to the university! Just a 10 minute walk to the main bus line 👍.'

We have rooms available over the summer for short stays and we are also offering rooms for the 2024-2025 academic year.

We have standard rooms available from September 2024 for postgraduates in our 6-bedroom postgraduate flat and a few standard rooms remaining for undergraduates.

The 6 flats each have 6, 7 or 8 bedrooms, and each flat has its own:

• 2 showers
• 2 toilets
• a large well-equipped kitchen and lounge
We clean the kitchens, showers and toilets each week.

In total there are 39 standard rooms, 4 large rooms and one studio (with its own bathroom). Each bedroom
has a bed, desk, chair, noticeboard, bookshelf, chest of drawers, large wardrobe and washbasin.
Shared and communal facilities include:
• secure bike sheds and private parking
• a library room with access to a sunny enclosed garden
• the Heathfield Centre, a common room which offers space for meetings, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, parties or other events, and equipped with two pianos, a table tennis table and a home cinema
• a studio where you can do messy work without harming your deposit
• a token-operated on-site laundry
Heathfield stands in 1.4 acres of private grounds. The manager lives in a bungalow on-site, providing responsive management.
The rent includes all bills. The only additional costs are laundry, parking if you keep a car here, and council tax if you stop being a student (Band A).
