I have 2 spacious and airy double bedrooms with box bay windows for rent, each available for single occupancy, in a lovely 4-bedroom Edwardian family home shared with myself (I am a professional academic and away a lot).
The rooms are available from 25/9/2016 and the rent for each room for single occupancy is £725 per calendar month, inclusive of a share of utility bills (water, council tax, broadband, TV license, gas and electricity).
The house is on a quiet street opposite Port Meadow in a semi-rural setting in Wolvercote just north of the city, with parking available.
The frequent and reliable no. 6 bus for the 10-minute ride to the city centre stops at the bottom of the road. Oxford Parkway station with trains to London Marylebone is less than 10 minutes away by car or bus. Though the house is within the city limits and a quick bus/cycle ride away from the city centre, here you can enjoy some tranquility and natural beauty, so you can have the best of both worlds in Oxford.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, ample fitted wardrobes with double clothes hanging space, built-in shelves and plenty of storage room, a free standing bookshelf, a large desk and chair, and a bedside unit with drawers and a side-light.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed, a large glass-top desk and chair, 2 ceiling-high built-in bookshelves and cabinets, a double clothes hanging wardrobe with 2 large drawers and full length mirrors, and a bedside cabinet and side-light.

There is an exceptionally well stocked local shop a 2-minute walk away, and a Post Office/supermarket 10 minutes’ walk away. Summertown is a quick bus/cycle ride away.
Both rooms would suit a mature member of staff, academic, post-doc or advanced PhD student looking for a genuinely clean, fresh, green (in all senses), peaceful and pleasant environment both inside and out.
The house is friendly but everyone's privacy and need for quiet time is very much respected.
You will need to share some responsibility for looking after the house. Preference will be given to enquirers looking for a longer term rent, and those who have some experience of looking after a house!
