This sky-lit property is set in a design award-winning converted riverside warehouse with original features such as steel beams and exposed brick. It caters perfectly to modern lifestyles and tastes. Inside the 2-level home are two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an eat-in kitchen/lounge. Each bedroom is fully-furnished and on its own floor; there is a fully-stocked kitchen/lounge area with dishwasher and appliances, plus washer/dryer in the utility closet. Wi-Fi internet, and maintenance charges are included. Additionally, there is a huge shared terrace on the river with lounge, kitchenette, and bathroom (see floor plan).

Aside from being very close to central London, there are special aspects to the neighborhood such as walking along the Thames Path (at low tide there is a beach in front of the property!), visiting the city farm and eating at the scrumptious cafe, strolling along the docks or meandering through the ecological park. There is a cinema, bowling alley, and restaurants within walking distance. It is an amazing place and true gem of London.

The Thames Clipper is the best way to travel and is just next door. It takes 4 minutes to Canary Wharf, 15 to London Bridge, and 6 to Greenwich. Surrey Quays (Overground) and Canada Water (Tube and Overground) are a 10-15-minute walk. The C10 and 381 buses are just around the corner (3 minutes).

About the community: the building is the oldest in the area, from 1810, and was converted into 14 flats (six one-bedroom, eight two-bedrooms) in 1999. Most flats are owner occupied and we care for our building. My partner and I live here, but have a separate entrance from you. A group of us are quite social and visit each other’s flats for dinners/dominos/drinks, but it is definitely NOT a party place. We are very international and diverse: a professional cellist from New Zealand (you cannot hear her practice, she has an off-site studio), a French architect, Danish/British animator, Italian IT consultant, Spanish IT sales consultant and his wife, Italian American design consultant and academic, English banker, English graphic designer, Eastern European business consultant, a tango dancer, a professional photographer, you get the picture... Our ages range from mid 20s to an age where people no longer like to say their age. Your room is your castle and is very quiet and private. Surprisingly, the communal terrace and Pavilion are rarely used (six flats have private balconies) and our tenants over the years have said that they use it the most, almost always having it to themselves.

Please note that there will be a third-party REFERENCE CHECK, which includes your right to rent etc. Council Tax Band F, approximately £100/month. Water is paid every six months, and breaks down to approximately £15/month and the gas/electricity combined bill is approximately £75/month (of course that depends on your use; that's based on previous tenacy's recent bills). Utilities are already set up, you just need to pay for your share. Couples £25+pcm. Short-term considered, and anything six months or under will require the full rent upfront.
