Wake up to a London sunrise and relax with a stunning sunset. This is a bright, very spacious, self-contained ensuite studio with access to a garden and above average storage capacity. It has all the right ingredients for you to feel at 'home' and add value to your life.
All bills are included apart from your contents insurance.
Who you'll be living with:
I am a single mum to a fabulous teen whom I share 50:50 with her dad who lives nearby. Because of this, you'll be living in a family setting so some rules won't be to everyone's liking. There are no locks on the doors - trust is paramount. I work hybrid, full time. I'm sociable but value my space/privacy too. My daughter and I get on very well.
You
Self-aware, good communicator, sociable but also enjoy plenty of privacy and fairly quiet. Open-minded and inclusive, not politically or socially Conservative.
The space:
We recently converted our loft, so everything is new. It has enough space for the furniture in the photos whilst leaving space for you to bring other furniture. The blinds are blackout blinds.
The fridge is very quiet and there is plenty of space in the cupboards to accomodate your items. The en-suite bathroom also has loads of storage.
The West-facing garden gets a lot of sunlight. If you have a car, you can apply for an inexpensive resident's permit.
Transport:
Morden tube station (Northern Line) is less than 5 mins walk as are the buses. Thames Link is around 10 minutes walk and it's about a 15 minutes walk to the nearest tram stop. Wimbledon Station is an enjoyable 25 minute walk.
Shops:
Morden has loads of essential shops - 3 good sized super-markets, 2 chemists, a health food shop and a good variety of restaurants, takeaways and cafès.
Well-being:
Finally, the ward, Merton Park lives up to it's name. There are 5 parks v nearby, including one behind the house and the brilliant National Trust wetlands, Morden Hall Gardens. There is also a local tennis club nearby and plenty of gyms in the local area. Our doctor's is a well organised polyclinic.
We love living here!
PLEASE NOTE: It is important to us that our new lodger is a good match with us (and us with you!), so be prepared to answer some questions about yourself before you view the room and during your viewing.
