Huge double room available in the heart of Mount Florida in Glasgow’s Southside.
About me:
I am looking for a young professional (will consider students too) to join my current female flatmate as I have moved to Edinburgh. She works full time. She can be out of the flat for work as early as 5AM and works late on other days. Both of our pronouns are she/her. Neither of us live wild lifestyles anymore and as such, we hope to find someone similar to fill my spot. When not working you’d find us socialising, listening to music or gyming etc. Her lovely pup comes to stay sporadically, so you will have to be dog friendly. We are both part of the LGBTQ+ community, so only allies will be considered to ensure a safe living environment.
If not looking for a full-time place to stay, I would consider taking someone on from the beginning of March to the end of June.
Hoping to find someone who is clean and tidy and who will look after the flat. We like to sit and chat and have a cuppa (or a glass of wine) with here and there so it would be ideal to find someone sociable, but who can respect needing space at times too.
About the area:
The flat is surrounded by class little cafes and shops that are all within walking distance. There’s a 24h shop (2 mins), Tesco Express/Greggs/Chippy (3 mins) and big Asda (10 mins) to name a few.
The flat is essentially on the door step for Mount Florida rail station (3 mins) - from here it’s an 11 min ride to Glasgow Central.
Another bonus is that Queens Park is only 10/15 mins away, as is Battlefield where you’ll find even more nice cafes/bars. There’s a gym that is a 20 min walk/4min drive away too.
About the flat:
The room available has:
Double bed
Sofa bed that acts as a couch
One bedside unit
Ikea wardrobe with full length mirror, three railings and four large drawers
Eight electrical sockets
- the other items you can see in the pictures have come to Edi with me, so you would be welcome to bring a dressing table/desk with you if required. I have left a smaller TV in the room but can store this away if you wish to bring a larger one.
The kitchen is pretty well equipped. There’s a dining table/chairs, oven with a gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and pretty much every utensil you could think of. Plates, cutlery, glassware, pots/pans and all that stuff is all here too to be used so long as it’s well looked after.
There is no livingroom.
The bathroom has a bath and shower and a loo and a sink too of course lol.
There’s a back court and the front porch belongs to our flat alone.
Please note all bills etc will remain in my name, including council tax etc. Mentioning in case this would be an issue for anyone wishing to buy their own home afterwards.
Please feel free to send me a message if you would like to know more/come see the flat etc.
Speak soon,
Meg :)
