We are a flat family of 3, living in a cosy, sociable flat in Brixton Hill. You would be taking the place of lovely Vera, to live with Natalie(she/her) and Roisin(she/they) from 14th June.

Natalie and Roisin
We are both early-mid 30’s, chilled out and creative people who like a mix of being out and about, hanging out together in the flat and the odd night out in non-Covid times. Natalie is a teaching assistant and Roisin is a freelance theatre designer and we met when working at the Ritzy Cinema in Brixton.

We like to chat, cook together when we’re all around and have a fairly informal routine that involves everyone doing their bit to take care of the space. We like to be creative at home in our large communal space- which you would be welcome to be a part of! We are always considerate of how this influences the whole space, but of course the creative energy and temporary mess may not be suitable for some people. Ideally we are looking for someone who is up for watching films, cooking the odd meal together and being a part of our flat community, although of course we balance this with doing our own thing. If you prefer mostly keeping to your room or spend the majority of your time at a partner’s, this flat may probably isn’t the right fit for you. We also keep our partying outside of the house unless agreement has happened in advance.

Bills are currently around £109 per month on top of rent.

The flat/room
We are situated above a Quaker meeting house next to an estate. There is a large garden attached to the meeting house which we can access- the only rule is no alcohol outside. We are the only flat in the building and set back from the main road, which makes things quite peaceful for the area. Tony is the caretaker for the building and has an office on the first floor too. He takes care of immediate maintenance and people who have locked themselves out 😂

There are lots of shops conveniently close by and Brockwell park is a short (10-15 min walk away).

The room available in the flat is the smallest one, with the cheapest rent at £410. It comes unfurnished and could just fit in a double bed, and there is an additional rail in the hallway cupboard which could be used for extra clothes storage if you wish.

All bedrooms are quite cosy and close together, but the kitchen and living room are spacious and lovely to hang out in. There’s loads of kitchen equipment, a separate washer and dryer and a projector for watching films/TV. We also have a desk (Natalie’s) in the living space which we use as and when we need it.

We’re looking for...
Someone who likes the sounds of our flat and our vibes! We’d strongly prefer a Female or Queer person and would love the affordable rent to go to someone who can’t otherwise access inflated London prices.

We are preferably looking for someone who doesn’t work from home.

Please reach out if you have any further questions- we’ll be picking a date to meet people shortly.

Roisin and Natalie xx
