We will have a bright, newly decorated furnished room available from September (slightly earlier possible however there would be things to discuss) in BN2 4 area.
My partner, Emma and I are 31/34 and live in BN2 4 area with our rescue dog, Murphy. Both our prounouns are she/her but they is also OK.
We are both plant-based/vegan (Murphy is not). We both work, Lauren is a m-f worker and Emma's works shifts. We would like to keep a veggie/vegan household.
Murphy is a rescue dog, very loving but with some nervous behaviours and due to this we would be looking for someone who is dog confident and willing to be consistent with the boundaries we have in place as part of his training. We would discuss this further, in detail if interested.
There is one other lodger called matt who moved into another room in September who is veggie and very tidy and respectful.
The house is in a free parking, residential area with a large back garden which backs onto public footpaths on a nature reserve and then lead to the downs. I am currently growing veggies and would like to expand this. I am also currently digging up and relaying the lawn so it is flatter and more accessible. I like the garden but I'm terrible with house plants!
Some of the house is newly decorated and some is still dated and as such we work on DIY as and when we have the time and in as minimally disruptive a way as possible.
The room is up one staircase and is beside the bathroom which has been newly refurbished.
The bus stop at the end of our street is less than 5min, flat walk as is the corner shop. We are on the number 49 bus route to town which takes about 20mins to seafront, less to London road. The closest bus stop is Widdecombe way.
Moulsecoomb Station is a 10-15min, undulating walk away.
We like to keep the house clean and at present we share cleaning tasks as well as emma and I getting a cleaner fortnightly to help us out with our share of cleaning tasks as we find it difficult when work is busy and it takes the pressure off. The cleaner is £12/hr and it would be possible to increase to weekly cleans if you wished to do this instead of cleaning, then we would all just have to maintain things in between.
The atmosphere in the house is friendly. We like to be sociable, have a chat, would be up for the occasional movie or dinner together but we like our own space.
We do drink, and occasionally have friends over but not often.
It is 550pcm inclusive of bills and 1month deposit is required in advance.
This is our long term home and we are looking for a person who would like it to be their home too.
We welcome all people and we hope they would feel safe here and as such, ask that anyone who considers living here is accepting of all queers/identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.
N. B. The room is furnished and there is not much room elsewhere in the house for other furniture or storage.
The bedroom available is 3.2mX3.1m.
Please let me know if interested and we can arrange a viewing and meeting.
*Where min term is 6 months, if things aren't working out prior to this for either party, we can chat and work something out*
