Spacious double room to let in Old Market from NOVEMBER. £550 inc. bills, no deposit. No couples or dogs (but cats very welcome). Private London-based landlord.

Sadly my amazing flatmate is moving on so there's a room going in our house share. It's a very good size room (at least medium, with a big window) in a small two bedroom flat. No smoking in the house.

The room comes furnished, pretty much exactly as in the pictures (minus clothes rail). Freshly repainted, but you're welcome to paint and decorate as you please.

The house stays very warm in the winter and is pretty reasonable in the summer. The kitchen never gets as messy as in the picture and we do normally share weekly cleaning duties. We've got all the kitchen stuff you'd ever need (there's also a small table in the kitchen, not pictured). There's an outside parking (free in the street) and a bike shed.

We don't have a garden, but Trinity Centre's community garden is 1-2 mins away and I treat it as our backyard. We also don't have a living room but we tend to hang out in the kitchen/each others bedrooms and there is a spare room for friends and family to stay when they visit Bristol (Coltrane sanctuary).

ACCESSIBILITY: The flat is on the first floor but there's an elevator and there are no stairs at the front/outside.

ABOUT ME: I'm a 28 years old musician/singing teacher, also working Mon-Thu (currently from home) for a small IT company. I try to care for the environment and I care about being a part of a conscious household, I do eat meat though (but I'm not a big meat eater and won't wiggle it in front of you if you're veggie). I'm into swing dancing, hitch hiking, occasional yoga, pretty oldschool music and intellectual talks. I value critical thinking and absurd sense of humour. I smile all the time. I only teach singing from home for 2 hours on Tuesday - other than that I teach from the studio and I like quiet evenings.

ABOUT YOU: mature, intelligent, independent, chilled, non-dramatic (no drug abuse, passive aggressive post-it notes and other antisocial behaviour).
27 or older.
I don't mind what you do in life, what you eat and whom you love. Someone with social skills please (someone who doesn't hide in their room the whole time). You need to care about the space around you by being clean and agreeing that metal utensils don't go near pots and pans ;)

Absolutely no smoking is allowed in the house and there is no balcony so probably would not suit a smoker (you can smoke outside but smoking rules won't change when cold months hit).

THE HOUSE SHARE: the kind where we share kitchen essentials and you don't lock your bedroom doors. I'm very sociable and want to share chats and meals (or maybe go out together?) but I'm also busy and understand that so are others so I don't want to make socializing sound like an obligation. I think we should be friends, but not the ones that have to schedule their friendship for a certain day of each week 😉

PETS: There just isn't enough space for a dog (and no garden) but we may discuss a smaller pet - and I'd REALLY love to live with a cat (as long as they're happy to live in a gardenless place).
