My double room in a lovely three-bed terrace in Chorlton (between Tea Hive and Longford Park, about 9 minutes from the tram stop) is available from 3 March to 19 April (just under 7 weeks) while I'm away at a writer's residency. Ideal for a freelancer/contract worker in town for a short while, or as a local base for someone looking for somewhere more long-term :) Rent includes all bills, broadband etc, and is payable upfront (£700 for the 7 weeks), just so it's all out of the way!

About the room: A bright double room with a king-size bed, plus a set of drawers and a clothes rail for hanging clothes. Under-bed storage also available. (I'd move all my stuff into the study so you have the space to yourself!)

About the house: Vegetarian! The house has lots of character - some 70s features and prints and animal skulls on the walls - plus all the other things you'd expect, like a washing machine, central heating, a dishwasher, your own fridge and freezer, an electric shower, crockery. Also a cat.

About the housemates: My housemates are two creative, leftie professionals, who are also a couple. One is queer, works in the third sector, is training to become a counsellor and has a great singing voice. The other works in social care and can often be found drawing dinosaurs. Both can quote a lot of Drag Race. Very LGBTQ+ friendly. Very friendly in general; always down for a board game or trashy TV show. Vegetarian. Oh, and they don't like microwaves, so the house doesn't have one!
