This furnished single room in Great Horkesley is available immediately to a female tenant. The house is located in a quiet lane on the Essex Way, close to apple orchards and beautiful countryside. The village includes a pub, village shop and Wine Centre/gift shop. The house has a modern kitchen and is double glazed throughout, but retains many older characteristics, such as an open fire.

The room is on the first floor and looks over a beautiful, large, south-facing garden. It includes a comfortable single bed, a large desk with drawers, a dressing table, a shelf unit and a double recessed wardrobe with chest of drawers inside.

The tenant would share a cosy lounge with open fireplace, a large kitchen/diner with washing machine, split-level oven and induction hob and pantry space and a bright bathroom with toilet, bath and overhead shower. The property also includes a very large, pretty garden, which the tenant is welcome to share. Also sharing the house (but not your room!) is Ted, my elderly, affectionate border terrier.

I am a quiet, friendly, tidy woman, aged 47, happy to share my space with someone else friendly and considerate. I enjoy cooking, so hope to share meals occasionally, if you wish to. I will be respectful of your privacy and try to help you feel ‘at home’ as much as possible.

The house is a 15-minute bus journey from the station, a 20-minute bus journey from Colchester town centre, and buses run every 20 minutes. It is approximately a 15-minute cycle ride to the hospital.
