A room in our homely Marchmont flat is freeing up due to one of our flatmates moving away.



The room is a bright and quiet South facing single room with a lovely view of the garden. The room also comes with extra storage space and a clothing rail in a box room. We have a shared bathroom with a bathtub, a large living room with two cozy seating areas with a couch and some large armchairs, and a small-ish kitchen. The interior of the flat is of higher quality than many Marchmont student flats - it has beautiful wooden doors, a good-quality carpet, and appliances and furniture that are well looked after. Also, there is space in the bottom stairwell to lock bikes. We share a large garden that is used by all the neighbours, and relations are friendly. All this gives the flat a warm cozy atmosphere.



We are a sociable flat and value communal sharing of the space without being overly intense on this. Until now, some of us shared an organic veg box and cooked for each other, and we had regular check-ins and flat meetings. It would be great to find someone who shares an interest in this communal aspect of living together, and we would be happy to establish how we share and organize our co-living with the new person. Other than that, we all have jobs that keep us busy often, so taking time to relax and retreat is always welcome.



We are hoping for someone who is mostly veggie or vegan (occasionally cooking meat and fish is fine), queer friendly and 25+ years old.

We share all bills, there is WIFI and currently, we all pay council tax. There will be a deposit of £330. We have a private landlord with whom we have a good relationship. The contract has a 6-week cancellation period.



The price for the room is £430, including all bills (electricity, heating, fast Gigabyte internet with Virgin, and council tax). Full time students are very welcome, but will have to pay council tax.
