It’s a 2-bedroom house, with me in the other room - I’m currently studying a postgrad in Conducting at the Royal Northern College of Music. I’d be hoping to share with a postgrad/ doc student or young professional, ideally someone who is comfortable with the occasional bit of music!

The room itself is quite small, with a bed which folds to be either a single or a double - the switch is very easy, and allows you to make the most of the space! The bathroom has a bath/shower. The downstairs is semi open-plan, with a kitchen, living room and music room. There’s a small garden/yard, which has gravel, in which I like to grow herbs and sometimes veg. The kitchen has a four-burner induction hob and a fan oven, microwave+kettle etc., a tall fridge-freezer, and a washing machine. The living room has two sofas, a coffee table, a dining table, shelf space, and a functioning wood-burning fireplace.

The house is on a quiet side-road with no through traffic, exactly 30 minutes walk from the Universities, and around 40 to the city centre (buses are also frequent and cheap, and nearby). It is only a minute’s walk from the large and well maintained local park, Platt Fields, which has a small lake and fruit trees. We’re on good terms with our next door neighbours, having done shared barbecues etc., and also close to a good supermarket (ALDI, roughly 5 mins walk).

I’m fairly eco-conscious (I like to live low-waste where possible), non-smoker, and chilled to live with - I enjoy gardening, reading and cooking.
