My flatmate will be moving back home after uni and I am looking for someone to take over her lovely room.

I am open to discussing both summer tenancies as well as long-term ones.

The room:

The room is part of a modern and beautiful two-bedroom two-bathroom flat in a new-built development. You will benefit from your own bathroom with shower over bath, a new kitchen (with washer-dryer, cooker, oven, microwave and fridge-freezer), a lovely bright living room (with TV, comfy leather sofas, hard-wood coffee table, a dining table, and lots of plants), a large storage room, a very spacious reception hallway with secure entry, a shared garden, lift, and a private parking space. The flat also benefits from superfast wireless broadband and a landline. With gas central heating and double glazed windows, the flat is very economical and warm (EPC – B). I've found keeping the thermostat at 20 degrees to be most comfortable and the bills continue to stay very low.

I’m currently renting the en-suite room, which means the bathroom with bath would be all yours, apart from the occasional bath I like to take. By the way, the showers are FANTASTIC with great pressure (so good it’s worth mentioning in a flat ad haha)

Situated in an excellent location in West End, very quiet and within easy access and walking distance to Glasgow University and City Centre, close to both the Kelvin Walkway and Glasgow Canal, it is also extremely convenient for local amenities and shops, a short walk from Great Western Road with many renowned restaurants and shopping facilities and very close to bus stops.

Me (your flatmate):

I am a 28yo eastern-European (you'll benefit from the tasty food too!) professional working in architecture, so I would ideally be looking for a professional to share the flat with due to council tax reasons. I’m open to mature students as well, as long as you are willing to share the cost of the council tax. (Council tax band C)

As I am looking for a long-term tenancy, here comes an essay about me so you can get an idea of who you’ll be living with:

I’m not a frequent party person, but I am an extravert and I love to chat away over tea/wine. I’m energetic and love a good chat, but I understand the need for quiet alone time too. I like to cook, play guitar, play board-games and video games, and become a couch burrito with Netflix series. I love the outdoors, I climb and swim and dance around the kitchen while I cook :)
Dinner parties with friends and board games are my favourite past-time. (once we're allowed to have people over again)

I like to take care of the place I live in. I have many plants and cushions and art and I like to keep the place as tidy as I can. That doesn’t mean I’m obsessed with it though. I like to think of it as a happy middle: e. g. I won't leave the sink full of dishes but I also won’t be religious about cleaning. If you’re happy to put on some weird music and clean together with me while dancing around, we’ll get along great.

I’m a queer poly female and have recently picked up burlesque dance. I like to describe myself as an awkward weirdo and I’m very outgoing and open-minded with a strong belief that we shouldn’t judge people for who they are. I need the person who lives with me to be ok with this. Open communication and chats over wine and cake are always good ideas XD

I have lived in the flat for a year and a half now and have no plans to move out (once you see it, you’ll understand why, it is fantastic!!)

Rent:

Monthly rent is £480 per month and includes Broadband, TV licence and building management for the communal area.

Gas & Electricity Bill is not included in monthly rent. However, due to the flat's great energy efficiency, the bill is always very low, even in the winter.

You will rent directly from the landlords (no agency) and they are fantastic people my age. They've always been super responsive with anything and dinner parties are a go :)

That puzzle will be completed before you move in... hopefully XD
