One furnished double room in a lovely modern development in up-and-coming Dennistoun.

The room has been freshly painted with a double bed, built-in closet, side cabinet, and set of drawers. We can add a desk if you require. Bedding and linen are also included.

We have a shared lounge/open plan kitchen area, great for relaxing after a long day or for cooking/entertaining. The bathroom is communal but we have an en-suite so it would be yours for morning routines. It has a three-piece suite including a bath.

The flat is in Dennistoun in the East end of Glasgow, walking distance from the city centre and the University of Strathclyde. We're a stone's throw away from the Royal Infirmary. There is a bus stop two minutes away, with buses for the centre every 10 minutes. The M8 motorway is also a 2-minute drive away.

Dennistoun is a great neighbourhood and is fast becoming a popular area! There are some terrific cafes and restaurants to try. Tennent's Brewery and Drygate are both nearby, and if you like a place with history, the famous Glasgow Necropolis and Cathedral precinct are on our doorstep. Firpark itself is a mix of modern flats and townhouses and has been landscaped with trees and communal lawns. It's a peaceful complex that makes you forget you're in the middle of the city.

I am a professional (30/F) living here full time, starting a new job in procurement, working Monday to Friday. My partner (39/M) is an art lecturer who commutes to Inverness for four nights a week and stays in the flat from Thursday to Sunday.

We are looking for someone friendly to join us in our new home. We prefer someone who is happy to hang out with us and whom we can get to know a bit. We would also like someone who is reasonably clean and tidy to help keep the place in good condition.

Rent is £500pcm including energy bills and council tax. We're asking the tenant to provide one reference, this could be a friend or former flatmate.
