My room is available again from around 18 August 2026. It's within a 4 bedroom main door tenement flat (ground floor and basement) built in 1852 in the heart of Finnieston, next to lots of fantastic restaurants and bars, Kelvingrove Park, and within 15 mins walk of Glasgow University and 5 mins walk from Exhibition Centre station.
The room is 3.5 x 3.3m and has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, noticeboard and its own private toilet with basin. It's on the basement level but with a window looking out onto the garden.
The family bathroom is just down the corridor and has a rain shower and a separate bath. You have some access to my sitting room (which has a piano), to the kitchen, utility room and the shared garden.
I have good central heating but with the age of the building, it can be on the chilly side in winter - so just be aware.
I live here mostly alone but my son (23) and daughter (20) are sometimes home in the university holidays.
I have a lovely cat, Fog. Occasionally when I'm away I would ask you to feed her (twice a day).
I work as a psychotherapist (partly away from the house, partly at home). Other psychotherapists also work from my consulting room here through the week, but clients stay on the upper floor away from the bedrooms.
I have a keen interest in singing and classical music and I'm in the St Mary's cathedral choir. as well as running the Glasgow Bach Cantata Project.
I have had several lodgers before and all have really enjoyed their time with us.
I am looking for someone with some shared interests who would like to lodge with me. It's important to me that you are reasonably clean and tidy. I would prefer someone who works or studies outside the flat rather than from home. Visitors to the flat are welcome with permission, but this is not a party flat. However, I can promise you a warm and welcoming home and, if you are new to Glasgow, I can certainly help you to find your way around.
If you are interested, please message saying why you think you would be a good fit. Emails with no introduction are unlikely to get a response! Thanks!
