Hi. We have a medium sized but nice double room in a lovely 4 bedroom house in Herne Hill available in mid-December.
The room overlooks the back garden and comes with a double bed and wardrobe and is light and warm. It isn't the largest of rooms but is a good size and comfortable. There is also a loft for longer term storage if needed as well as plenty of space around the house.
The house has a spacious 2 tier garden (with an extra side entrance for access). The lower tier has a variety of nice plants, a small pond and gets morning and afternoon sun. The top tier is currently being tidied and turned into a vegetable patch and patio and gets the sun throughout the day.
The house is opposite the gorgeous Brockwell Park. It's a 5/10 minute walk to both Herne Hill and Tulse Hill rail stations (to Victoria, Blackfriars, Farringdon, Kings Cross, London Bridge). Also Brixton and Denmark Hill are both a 10 minute bus journey / 25 minute walk and the place has a number of bus routes all a few minutes from the house.
The house has a second separate toilet and sink plus a spare downstairs room leading out to the garden: which during Lockdown restrictions becomes the studio / extra optional workspace to add a bit of variety / another area for Zoom calls, yoga or studying. It has a decent sized lounge with a dining table and 2 new sofas. The kitchen has a good oven and microwave and we have 2 fridges / freezers and plenty of cupboard space.
The Housemates are myself (Andy) who has been here for just over a year, Karen who has been living in the house for almost 8 years now and Steve who will be moving in at the same time as you. Because of this, if we feel you are suitable we will organise a meeting or Zoom chat with Steve to make sure you both get on but at the viewing it will be only myself and Karen. It is a nice relaxed atmosphere and while we all live our own lives do enjoy watching TV or films together. We're looking for someone friendly, independent and easy going who is willing to do their share of house cleaning.
Household bills (Energy, Water, Broadband, TV, Council Tax) are around £110 each per month in total and reference checks with the estate agent will cost £30. Obviously you will be moving in just as Winter hits and what with the gas issues at the moment the bills may be slightly higher than that but will drop in Summer.
If you are interested or if you have any questions feel free to get in touch or please drop us a line with a bit about yourself (such as interests and profession etc) and we will arrange a viewing (probably on Sunday 21.11.21 but can be flexible for the right person).
Thanks. Andy
