Large quiet south facing double room available in a Victorian house flat share with two other female professionals, located opposite Highgate Wood.

The room is fully IKEA furnished with a double pine bed, office desk, triple wardrobe, two chests and fitted with new wool carpet. There is Netflix TV and Virgin 1GB Virgin Wifi. Room furniture can be customised to suit your needs. There is also plenty of spare storage in the house.

Flat and Location

Highgate is one of the safest nicest areas of London, with a vibrant cafe-culture and a real village community. The flat is kept clean by a regular professional cleaner and always really warm to come back to in winter. It has a large kitchen diner/Living room with TV, Nespresso machine, WM, digital cooker and all mod cons. There is a separated WC and a bath shower.

Flatmates and Interests

One flatmate works for Greenpeace, the other in Biomedical research. Its a really cosy relaxed place but not a party house. Flatmates are easy going and clean so looking for the someone the same.

We like the usual things, gym, cycling, running, walking in the woods opposite, chilling in the Woods Pavillion cafe, tennis in Waterlow park, cooking, live music, bowling, stand up, The Boogaloo, Camden market, lazy Sunday roasts in the local Woodman pub, the occasional pub quiz or embarrassing karaoke... but we also like to do our own thing.

Transport

Highgate tube is only 5 mins walk away and its 21 mins to Bank on the Northern Line. NB - There are marked cycle lanes on the road and speed camera enforced 20mph limits. The house is well served by buses, Camden 9 mins and the 210, 214, 269, 271, 134, 43, 234 & N20 are only 30 mins to Leicester Square. The N20 night bus stops almost outside and an Uber is only £12-18 back from town. There is also local residents parking available and anchored bicycle storage outside.

Local Amenities on your doorstep - never get bored !

Highgate uniquely offers countryside living with fast access to the city. Its is surrounded by 5 parks, with a nice 10min walk to Muswell Hill through the woods or 12 mins to Crouch End. There are local street markets, all year fairs and an amazing variety of local indie boutique shops, cafes, bars & under the radar cool nite life ;)

There are medieval historic pubs like The Flask, Gatehouse, Wrestlers and Woodman all with a great atmosphere for meeting up with friends. For foodies there is FEAST, TOFTS - winner best Fish & Chip shop in the UK, amazing Asian, Mediterranean, fusion and Vegan restaurants.

When possible, we catch live gigs at The Boogaloo, Jacksons Lane for Salsa lessons and adult classes. Alexandra Palace has the famous summer water slide, a Go-Ape’s 80m zip wire and Ice skating. For theatre lovers there is Upstairs at the Gatehouse. There are 6 gyms with pools from £25/pm, Highgate Wood Running, Cricket, Tennis, Squash clubs and two cinemas all within a short walk. There are also various intensity level PT workout classes in the Woods opposite and meditation retreats.

Food shopping is convenient with Planet Organic, M&S, Sainsburys, Tesco, Budgens, all within a short walk. Highgate cemetery is fascinating, especially the Gothic side. There is also a Highgate village ghost walk.
