The medium sized room contains a single well sprung bed, wardrobe and large desk, ideal for a student or academic and has a lovely view over trees and the local park. The room is light and clean.
Your exclusive shower room is down some stairs, ie it is not en-suite, and includes loo, shower and basin. You have negotiated access to a large well-equipped, but at times chaotic, kitchen which I make much use of.
The house has CH and is well maintained. I do not rent out other rooms and there isn't a communal sitting room.
The house is about 4 minutes walk from Archway tube, which is in Zone 2, and where there is also a plethora of buses. It takes about 30 minutes to get into Central London, door to door. The house is in a quiet friendly residential terraced street. It is a safe area where you can walk home at any hour of day or night. It is also in easy access of Highgate, Hampstead Heath, Crouch End and shops.
I am looking for a quiet friendly lodger who looks after themselves and doesn't expect to have lots of people round. Students for whom English is a second language are very welcome. The house is within easy walking distance from Whittington hospital. I’m a retired university lecturer, now a writer. One very friendly and quiet, medium sized poodle and an elderly friendly cat who might request stroking also lives here . There are no other lodgers. My adult son visits regularly as does a friend.
Please do contact me if you are interested , telling me about yourself, your area of study or your job. The room is available until June 2025 and possibly longer.
The photos are, I know, very bad and I recommend you come to see the house and room for yourself if you can, though, if you can't, for example because you are presently not in the UK, we can have a chat via Zoom or Whatspp.
Sorry, the room is no longer available
