Hi everybody! My flatmate is moving out to live with their partner and I’m looking for someone to move in and take on their part of the lease. This is a room + private office space available to rent - perfect for a WFH professional. Essentially functions as your own mini apartment.
Rental amount is £1600/month, deposit is £2000, and bills are about £100 on top in the winters (we use renewable energy so it keeps the bills very affordable)
It is located inside a 2 story maisonette in a prime Islington location. The room is spacious with plenty of natural light, and the study is perfect for those who work from home. There is a massive lounge on the second floor with an adjacent kitchen. There is one shared bathroom with a tub on the first floor, plus a storage space for any suitcases etc.
The maisonette is 5 minutes from Upper Holloway station (overground), 10 minutes from Archway, and 20 minutes from Holloway Road station. The bus stop is about a minute away and can take you directly to Highbury & Islington station within 15 minutes. The area is surrounded by independent cafe’s, restaurants, and pubs - so you’re never short of things to do. You can get to the leafy Hampstead Heath in 20 minutes by bike or walk 5 minutes to a local park. The area also has a good selection of gyms and leisure centres for those inclined towards an active lifestyle.
You will be sharing with me! I’m a 24 year old Muslim girl, not strictly religious, but looking for someone who will respect my faith. I like to keep a healthy balance between keeping to myself and interacting with others. I have high cleaning standards, respect personal space and boundaries, value emotional intelligence, and overall am described as a fairly friendly person. In terms of hobbies, I likes to read, paint, lift weights, go swimming, go on nice walks, and watch shows/movies. I am looking for someone who can make this place feel like home as a stable environment is paramount to my wellbeing. I am LGBTQ+ friendly, neurodivergent friendly, and respectful of other faiths.
About you: You are ideally a woman who respects other people’s boundaries, especially in regards to keeping shared spaces clean and organised. You must be willing to create a calm and peaceful home environment, maintain a friendly relationship (or even a friendship!) with me (bonus points if you would like to join me on walks), and overall just a good vibe to have around. You must not be a massive party person as this is not a party flat - but small get togethers with friends are completely okay as long as you let me know in advance and clean up after yourself.
Available from Jan 10th. If you’re interested, please send a message introducing yourself and include details of your age, occupation, religious beliefs (if any), and any other details as to why you think you would be a good fit.
