This room is in a house which although in a quiet road is very convenient to centre of Brixton. It is also good for lots of public transport, early and late, to and from central London. Fares are Travel Zone 2.
The room is a pleasant smaller sized double room in a 5-6 person house-share in Brixton. There is a double bed, table, chest of drawers, lots of shelves and two floor to ceiling cupboards.
The kitchen is a good size and has a recently purchased new washing machine. There are 2 fridges and a freezer..
In the house there are two separate toilets and also a separate shower room and a separate bathroom.
There is a small enclosed patio-garden at the back. It has a table. It can be pleasant in the summer time. The garden has a clothes-line. It also provides safe parking space for bicycles if wished. At the front of the house there is standing space for council bins without restricting general access.
The house decor is lots of wooden floors and older style furnishings. The floor in this room is a wooden one.
There is no common room. The kitchen and the garden are the main socialising areas in the house.
EPC is band C which compares favourably to other houses in this road.
Council Tax is band E. Council tax is included in the rent figure quoted, as well as water charges, broadband, and a tv licence for the whole house.
Fuel bills are in addition to the rent and come in every 3 months. Fuel bills have gone up a lot in last 2 years. Allow about £30 - £45 pcm according to season ( summer v winter).
House community vibe is friendly but not a lot of shared activities together.
