A double ensuite room will be available in a fully furnished central London flat from the end of August. I will be away on a placement that is part of my PhD. The placement is initially planned for six months, but is likely to be extended to 12 months or even up to two years.

The flat is light and spacious, with a shared open-plan living area, its own patio, and the floor is wooden or tiled throughout. The kitchen is fitted with integrated appliances, including a fridge-freezer, microwave, oven, gas hob, dishwasher, and washing machine.

The room itself comes with a king-size bed and mattress, a desk and chair, a built-in double wardrobe, a bedside table, and a lamp. The ensuite is a shower room.

The flat is part of the secure gated Chadwick Square development, featuring well-maintained communal gardens (in addition to the flat’s own patio) and a BBQ area. There is also an alarmed bike shed, and a video door entry system for each flat.

The street is quiet and residential, just minutes from the bustle of London Bridge and the South Bank to the north, and Elephant and Castle with its many shopping facilities to the south. There is easy access to the Northern, Bakerloo, and Jubilee underground lines.

My flatmate is a mature PhD student (aged 31) looking for a clean, tidy, and considerate flatmate for these six months, who is also friendly and takes pride in their shared home. She is normally lab-based during the week, but recently has been working from home more often.
