I am moving out of my lovely home in Vauxhall/Kennington as I will be moving in with a friend. Ordinarily we would be looking for a new long term housemate, however we have listed this as a short-term let as we have gotten notice the rent will be increasing substantially.

The landlord had not put the rent up for several years - and as such we are figuring out our plans. There could be potential for this to be a longer term let however we would not want to lead anyone on under false pretences as its likely the rest of the current tenants may be leaving and the licensing may not be renewed.

Available from December 19th. Need filled ASAP.

THE ROOM

We have a cosy, bright double room available. Semi furnished - It comes with a double bed, under bed storage, shelves, built in wardrobe, and chest of drawers. It's a lovely warm room, on the first floor and receives afternoon sun through the large double-glazed windows.

THE HOUSE

Our home is a 2-floor maisonette which has a decent-sized living room, a cute garden space, a separate toilet and bathroom and a big kitchen with a dishwasher. It is situated on the ground & first floor within a block of flats, with secure entry to the building. We also have a cleaner who comes every week!!

THE LOCATION

Less than 10 minutes walk to both Vauxhall and Kennington tube stations, you’d be hard pressed to find a better location! Waterloo, Westminster, Central, Brixton, Old Street and The City are reachable within a few minutes. We’re also surrounded by an abundance of amenities; a large Tesco across the road, and a ton of restaurants, bars and cafes.

THE HOUSEMATES

Miles, Anita and Axl are three lovely people - Miles moved into the house in March. Anita moved in early 2023 and Axl has called this place home for a number of years. We each have active social lives and busy work lives so the house can be quiet during the week, but is a friendly enviornment.

We’re not fussed about your age or identity. However you must be ok with having queer housemates and respecting others’ identities and pronouns. Our house is a home; we’d love to find someone who will treat it as such whilst being respectful of the space and other people there.
