My flatmate and I are currently looking for a housemate to rent out a top floor bedroom in a 3-bedroom house. Our other housemate is planning to move out mid Feburary, so would ideally like someone for then, but if you urgently needed to move in a bit earlier, let me know and we can discuss it 😊

I bought the house about a year ago and have since converted it into a beautiful modern home with plenty of space, light, and stylish furniture. The layout is comprised of:

Ground floor:
• Hallway
• 2 living rooms (Corner couches and a 75inch TV)

• Conservatory

Upper floor:
• 3 bedrooms
• Bathroom with corner bathtub and shower cubicle

• Big back garden, freshly turfed with artifical grass and garden furniture, with more furniture eventually being bought for it, looks incredible at night with lights wrapped around the trees
• 7 Seater hot tub, which is great to relax in after a long day at work 😁

• Less than 10 mins walk to Swinton Square (Big Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi, Costa, and many more!)
• Off the main road, so not many cars go past, incredibly quiet at night
• Not far from main bus route into town (29, 36, 37, 38, 66, 484, Expresso X39
• Friendly quiet neighbourhood

We're both ideally looking for someone who's more of a friend than just a housemate. Both enjoy being social and just chilling watching movies, chatting, playing games, and going for nights out (where possible nowadays) in town, usually along Canal Street. We like to occasionally have a few friends over for chilled nights, usually playing board games and having a few drinks, or even just sitting in the garden and you'll always be welcome to join in. However, we both also appreciate when people just want to be alone and given space for introverted days which we both do as well! so that's no problem too 😊

We are both really good at keeping communal areas clean, and making sure things like dishes don't pile up, so would need someone who's also good at keeping on top of things like that. We have a cleaning rota for big things like hoovering and cleaning the bathroom/kitchen, basically one week in 3 we each do our cleans, just something to keep things nice for all of us.

A bit about us:

David: I work full time as a vet! Been qualified about 3 years! I like going to the gym in my spare time! I drive... So always about if you need a lift! Have spent the last few months remodelling the house so havent been up to much else especially with lockdown but when im free I like to watch movies, see friends & family when covid didnt exist! and enjoy a few drinks in town too! Looking to get a few more interesting hobbies when lockdown is over! Interested in taking up bouldering and i go swimming a lot too! :)

Chris: Biiiiig video game nerd (Playstation forever), as well as an all around geeky guy. I love stuff like D&D, Mythology, cups of tea, music, a tiny bit of sci-fi (basically just Star Wars), cooking, and YouTube, which I tend to watch despite having a to-watch list on Netflix the size of the Amazon River! (See what I did there?)

I like to be social, but also like to just have nights where I play games in my room so I can really relax without socialising, so it's a bit of both worlds. Not much of a drinker since I don't really like alcohol, but tend to have a few on social occasions, and always on nights out of course 😋

Finally, in terms of job, I work as a Teaching Assistant specialising in kids with Special Educational Needs, although obviously things have been quite chaotic with schools being shut, but oh well 😅

As an added note, we are both gay, so hopefully that's not an issue, not that we expect it to be.
