My current flat mate is moving out so I’m looking for a new tenant in my lovely grade-2 listed flat in Chorlton Mill, Manchester City Centre.
Manchester Oxford Road Station, St Peter’s Square tram and Deansgate tram stops are all within a 5-minute walk. Manchester Piccadilly is less than 15 minutes away for speedy walkers like me. It is also located within walking distance to both Uni of and Man Met.
The flat has an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space, along with one of the comfiest sofas you will ever have the pleasure of sitting on (along with a 55-inch TV).
The room for rent comes partially furnished, including a king size bed (with an extremely comfortable mattress), a gigantic mirror, a clothes rail, bed side table, storage cupboard and wash bin. If additional furniture is needed, such as a desk to work from home, I’m happy to accommodate / provide, depending on what it is. In addition, I’m also happy to have the same conversation about furniture in the living space. I want this to feel as much your home as it is mine.
There is then one shared bathroom. It isn’t as pretty as the rest of the flat; however, it gets the job done and the bath is insane.
If WIFI speed is of importance to you, I have 150mb fibre with Hyperoptic.
The only downside to the flat is that it is technically a ground floor flat; however, it is off set from the road with basement units beneath it (see pictures for context), so in terms of safety and security, it is like a first floor flat.
About me, I’m a 24-year-old male who currently works in the city centre. I enjoy socialising, reading, movies, the outdoors, the gym, and sports,. I am a fairly busy individual who plans to be a bit of a workaholic over the next year, meaning I will be in my room working most nights.
I’m looking for a new flat mate who is clean, tidy, ideally sociable, and an all-around cool person. It would be great to find a likeminded person who would become a friend as well as a flat mate. Smokers are welcome, I just ask that, if it is cigs, you smoke them on the balcony.
Rent is going to be £750 per month with all bills included (yes this includes council tax). Potential for some months to be slightly cheaper depending on when / how the government pay out this emergency £400 energy payment. I’ll be asking for one month’s rent as a deposit along with some form of evidence of your ability to pay e. g. evidence of salary or reference.
The room will be available 1st Nov so am looking to get someone in pretty quick.
If you are interested or have any questions, please do drop me a message. Happy to provide more footage of the flat and host tours etc.
Sorry, the room is no longer available
