I have a room to let in my 2 bedroom 2nd floor apartment near Cornbrook metro close to the city centre, the canals and Media City. It is cladding-safe.
The room is fully furnished to a high standard and includes a new IKEA double bed (quilts and pillows provided if needed), a wardrobe, IKEA Z-chair, desk, chair, bookcase and a Digital TV aerial. I also have fast BT wifi with an extender.
The kitchen is very well stocked as I love cooking and includes a washing machine, a microwave, a huge fridge and a chest freezer. Ample cupboard space is provided.
The shared bathroom is very clean and includes a shower and a bath.
The apartment block is very secure with a part time caretaker on site, and a large lift. It also includes free parking round the back in the car park and on the side roads. The Cornbrook/Castlefield Co-op is close by, and various takeaways are within a 5 minute walk.
Public transport is excellent with Cornbrook tram on the doorstep and lots of frequent bus lines; 256, 255, 263 etc..
Short lets are warmly considered, 1 month minimum (£475) and only 2 weeks' notice period on departure. Mon-Fri or Sun-Thurs lets are also considered (at £360pcm or £95 weekly).
I am an experienced Airbnb host with over 100 5* reviews and have been very happily living here for 13 years. I usually let out my spare room in one way or other as I'm a freelancer with peaks and troughs of work.
I am sociable and very respectful of your privacy. I am also friendly, helpful and like to have a laugh.
I have been working in TEFL for 25 years as a teacher and examiner, and have travelled to 65 countries. I have lived all over the world, my favourite countries include India, Morocco, Colombia and Turkey. Previous long term flatmates have been from South Africa, India, the Gambia, Spain and Italy. I've hosted Airbnb guests from all over the world.
In the evenings I like to chillout by reading or watching a movie. I go cycling nearly every day and go hiking in the Peak District when I can.
