I have a beautiful room available in a quiet, semi-rural village setting in Trowell (NG9 3QT). This home is perfectly suited for shift workers and busy clinicians who want to escape the city noise but need a reliable, quick commute to local hospitals.
Please note: This is a traditional lodging arrangement, meaning you will be living in a welcoming, occupied family home with the landlady.
The Accommodation Options:
Option 1 (Single Occupant): A premium, fully furnished double room with your own exclusive private bathroom. You will also have full access to a cosy lounge with a TV and a lovely outdoor patio area.
Option 2 (Two Friends/Students Sharing): An additional double room is available if two colleagues or students wish to book together. In this scenario, the modern bathroom, TV lounge, and patio area will be comfortably shared between the two of you.

By bus:
🚌 Option 1: The Direct Bus (15-Minute Walk to Stop)The most straightforward option is a single direct bus from the stop near the Festival Inn. The Route: Walk 15 minutes to the stop outside the Festival Inn. Catch the trentbarton TWO bus heading north towards Ilkeston/Cotmanhay Where to Get Off: Directly at the Ilkeston Community Hospital stop on Heanor Road.
🚌 Option 2: The Two-Bus Connection (Closer Bus Stop): Walk less than 5 minutes to the Trowell Grove stop. Catch the my15 bus heading towards Ilkeston. The Transfer: Ride the my15 into Ilkeston town centre (alighting at the Market Place or Wharncliffe Road). From there, seamlessly switch to the trentbarton TWO, 33, or 34 bus, which all run frequently out to the hospital site.
By Bike: A scenic, flat 30 to 35-minute cycle ride (6.1 miles) primarily using the safe Nutbrook Trail (National Cycle Route 67). Secure cycle storage is provided on-site.

There is a bus stop about 10 minutes walk away that goes to Long Eaton, East Midlands Airport, Ilkeston to name a few. You can also reach Stapleford and connect to the bus route into the city and Beeston. Also accessible to QMC, Nottingham University, Nottingham College in Beeston, Toton Tram Stop, and Derby City.
