Please note: you will need to add at least £50 for gas and electricity to your monthly payments and this could vary depending on prices and usage - see below.
Hi, my name is Dr. Pete. This is my beautiful house that I used to live in when I was doing my PhD at Nottingham Uni about 10-15 years ago. I don't live there now, but I have some great tenants and I'd like to keep it that way. I am looking for quiet and tidy and sociable tenants - gentle geeks would be ideal. No party people or alpha males or bossy ladies please. You will need to get on with the other 3 current tenants who are awesome!
There is one room up for rent on the first floor of the house. This room is medium compared to the others and this is reflected in the monthly rate being slightly more for the bigger rooms.
The first floor room (£400pm) is available immediately. It has a double bed and all the usual clothes storage space and a desk. There are no fees to pay, just a 1 month deposit which is held by an official 3rd party deposit scheme. There is a shared living room, kitchen and a bathroom.
All bills (except gas and electricity) are included along with descent broadband wi-fi (with boosters on all floors). There is a new dishwasher & new washing machine and 2 fridges, an oven and a new boiler and the house is well insulated so its always a warm constant temperature in winter throughout the house.
For gas and electricity you pay for what you use (divided between the 4 tenants) and this is worked out monthly using the meter reading and the current prices. Currently £50 each seems to be covering this, but gas and electricity prices can vary and I will keep you updated of any significant changes.
There is parking on the street outside. No garden, but there is a lovely park opposite the house and good shops within 2 mins walk. Its 10 mins walk from the tram and Lenton Boulevard and just 15 mins walk into Town, Nottingham Trent Uni and the Jubilee Campus and there are loads of buses going up and down Alferton Rd which is 30 seconds walk from the front door. There is also a nearby free bus service to Notts Uni too, which passes by the QMC. You can talk to my tenants before you move in and none of them have had any issues from the house or the area in the 10 years I have been renting.
I am a friendly helpful landlord who is still in touch with many of my ex-tenants and I am registered with the National Landlord Association and DASH accredited and I take good care of the property and my tenants. Get in touch to have a chat and, if suitable, arrange a viewing. I do rent rooms frequently to International Students without a viewing who were coming to study from overseas, so that is no problem either. I have some videos of the house I can send you and you can video chat with the current tenants who can also give you a tour and they can tell you more about how great this house is. I always interview on video chat before viewings and then we can progress to references and paying deposits after that.
Please get in touch if you have any other questions.
