Hi, I’m Simon.
I am proud to have completely refurbished my three bedroom home that I bought in 2015 to a very high standard and would now like to continue sharing the home with a new housemate.
The bedroom available is the second double bedroom in the house,
My existing housemate that will be part of the home is Branko - He is 26 years old and is a professional working in London. Like me, Branko is out for much of the day working and occasionally travelling to his home country of Australia (Perth).
(Location). I’m only a very short walk from Barnes station which runs to London Waterloo and Vauxhall. A two minute walk to the 33 bus (24 hr) to Hammersmith and Richmond/337 bus to Richmond, Putney Clapham Junction.
(About me). Having graduated in Chemistry from Oxford, I have spent my career since then in education – teaching chemistry in some leading independent schools. I still teach chemistry each day in Central London. I cycle each morning and shower at work so never any bathroom clashes!
I have recently purchased a second home in Gloucestershire where I hope to spend much of the year and certainly most weekends from here onwards. This would leave my lodger(s) to enjoy the home independently for long and regular periods of time.
However, when I'm in London I enjoy a few beers/wine in the evening and some decent food and chat. The same for Branko!
I would like to develop a friendly and social relationship with my housemate(s) but in the knowledge that I’d be leaving you to yourself at the weekend and during the long school holidays (up to 18-20 weeks of the year)…
(Area). I am a stone’s throw from the leafy-green areas of Barnes Pond where I enjoy the pubs, shops and restaurants regularly. Waitrose and Tesco are a ten minute walk. Putney is a short walk and very short bus journey, as too is East Sheen and Richmond. Richmond Park itself is only a short walk away and makes for excellent running routes throughout the year if you like to keep fit.
The property is sufficiently away from any main road that there is zero traffic noise throughout the day.
Parking around the property is extensive and completely free.
I also rent a garage directly opposite the house that is now empty and can be used for safe storage (valuable bikes or excess belongings that you don't want to store in the room for example) at no extra cost.
I love my home and where I live in London, and I reckon you would too!
Send me a message and come take a look around...
Cheers,
Simon
