We are married and have bought a house and require a lodger Who is happy to live in the large attic room , perhaps a student or graduate or jobbing actor or someone who just needs
Somewhere cheap to stay and maybe save some money. There is a single comfy bed, Rocking chair,
Electric blanket, heaters,
Double and single air bed for guests. The room is quirky with many bookshelves and books and has a free standing wardrobe and small chest of draws and some areas to store items. It is cosy and has it’s Own stair well up to it and a door at the bottom So you are in your own space and floor. . We are a fairly quiet intelligent, friendly , open minded, professional couple who are happy to leave you to your business. You would share bathroom ( large with roll top bath and shower and your own cupboard), large kitchen with your own cupboard and shelf in the fridge and freezer, access to conservatory and garden and diner area. The rooms are habitable and furnished and cosy. I am a lecturer for degree at the local college and occasionally work freelance at schools so am out most days and some eves, my husband is technically retired but takes freelance work at the local theatre as a lighting technician so is out some days and eves. Usually one of us is in.
We have a very small dog who is friendly and sleeps with me and is no trouble. We are tidy and approachable. The house is on a decent street only 4 mins drive or 15 mins walk from town centre, rail and bus stations which give you very fast and easy access to barnsley, Sheffield, doncaster, derby, chesterfield and the Peak District. There is a reliable bus route nearby and local shops and amenities. We can draw up a Simple paper contract and will return 50 deposit at the end of stay. We will Provide receipts
For weekly payments. We are looking for an independent , fairly quiet and tidy lodger. They
Are ok to watch the odd
Programme together with us in the front room but we would Recommend you get your own tv or laptop to watch things on. No
Smoking in the house but fine in the garden. We have to wait until lockdown is officially over to rent out as my husband has a lung condition and is vulnerable.
As it is easing now we would want someone who is safe,
Wears a mask and washes hands when out/ At work and when they come back, keeps 2 Metre distance and wipes down surfaces/ things they touch after use. If they tested positive they would have to have family to go to to isolate as we can’t risk my husband’s health. It is a great room for 6 months - 1 year to get yourself on your feet.
Sorry, the room is no longer available
