Hiya! :) Am offering a lovely spacious (165 square foot) double bedroom in a beautiful period building in St John's Wood. It has an ensuite bathroom (37 square feet), which has storage facilities, a bath, a hand-held shower and an overhead shower. The bedroom itself has very high ceilings, with an impressive floor-to-ceiling window, a decorative latticed radiator and a large, double-height built in cupboard with hanging space and storage above. The room comes with a double bed, but is otherwise unfurnished. Providing more bedroom furniture possible if desired - please let me know what you need. Secondary glazing and being set back from the road means that the room is quiet.

The room is part of a large 1000+ square ft split level flat (there are two floors), with a front door leading directly onto the street. This is very unusual in this area, with most flats being part of large blocks with communal entrances. This one feels more like a large house than a flat. It has a very big and grand sitting room, featuring a huge mirror, wooden panelling, a crystal chandelier and a 50" flat screen TV. I will post a picture of how the sitting room looks furnished this evening. There is also a full-equipped kitchen with plenty of storage, a microwave, a dishwasher and washing machine/tumble dryer in addition to a large storage cupboard (which is great for storing suitcases etc).

The room faces onto the world famous Abbey Road (you can see the street sign from the bedroom window), and is on the corner of the desirable Abbey Gardens. There is a great sense of community, with lots of interesting neighbours - including Vanessa Feltz! A small park (Violet Hill - of Coldplay fame!) is a one-minute walk away.

The St John's Wood High Street and tube is less than ten minutes' walk away, with Maida Vale and Paddington Recreation Ground a similar distance. Regent's Park, Primrose Hill and Little Venice can all be reached within fifteen minutes (walking). There is a bus stop directly opposite the flat with a very regular service taking you to the city centre.

There is a small raised patio area at the back which is great for sitting in the sun when the weather is nice (or for drying washing if you don't want to use the tumble dryer), and a lawn garden at the front (great for morning exercise), which your bedroom looks onto. There is also the extremely rare and valuable addition of an off-street parking space, which you are free to use - neither of the other flat mates have a car. (Parking spaces are worth about £400 pcm on Abbey Road).

Once your name is on the contract, you will be able to make maintenance and any other requests to Dexters, who manage the flat and refund your deposit at the end of your tenancy. They are very helpful (I have never known them not agree to a request) and provide a free gardening service. There is one year guaranteed on the contract, with the option to extend at the end of the year.

There are two other flat mates, who are both recent grads, with full-time jobs. They are really fun, friendly and sociable, but also tidy, relaxed and quiet. They both look forward to meeting you!
