Hello!
I am looking for a flatmate to join me in my two bedroom flat. Below is an overview of the room, the flat, the location and also a little about me. I am very happy to arrange a Skype viewing or a (socially distanced) in-person viewing.
About the Room
- Furnished room with small double bed, reading light, desk, chair, chest of drawers and clothes rail (inc. hangers).
- The window is curtained and shuttered.
- If there is anything missing which you think should be added to the room I would be glad to know about it.
- I can provide bed linens, towels and pillows if required.
- There is not a great deal of storage space in the room for big items like suitcases so I am happy to help by storing them in my room where there is an auxiliary cupboard. There is storage space under the bed.
The Rest of the Flat
- Tastefully decorated living room with dining table, coffee table and bookshelves.
- Washing machine and dryer in flat.
- Modern kitchen, bathroom & separate WC.
- Appliances inc. dishwasher and Nespresso machine (not visible in pictures but they are definitely there, be assured!).
- Clean and bright throughout.
- Fast internet (BT Fiber Optic)
- Low C energy rating (=reasonably priced energy bills)
- Shared garden with picnic table and seating.
- On-street parking permit available.
Location
- 2 mins from grocery stores
- 10 mins walk to George Sq./Old College
- 20 mins walk to Princes St (i. e. Edinburgh city centre)
- 5 mins from the Meadow
- 5 mins to Arthur's Seat
About me:
I recently graduated and start as a trainee solicitor in August. At the moment it looks like I will be working from home but I am hoping to be back in the office in the not too distant future.
I have lived in Edinburgh for approaching 7 years. I am cheerful, polite and conversational. I will ask how your day went and if you need anything from the shops when I go! I would hope to keep an open and honest relationship and good communication with my flatmate so I am looking for someone who is up for that!
I am easy going and will try to adapt to your routine and habits. I like to keep the place clean and tidy though I am not chasing after every particle of dust!
When I am not working I am usually reading something, exercising, socialising with friends or playing piano. There used to be a piano in the flat but I recently removed it. I am hoping to replace it at some stage, although with something digital so noise pollution should not be a concern. I like to have folk over for evening drinks now and then but I don't live unsocial hours or party excessively (and won't especially now that my student days are over!). Ideally you will be happy to mix with my friends as I will be with yours.
Some things to note:
- I am looking to split Council Tax (which I anticipate will come to ~£70 per month per person).
- WiFi is included in the headline rent figure but other bills (i. e. gas, electricity and council tax) are additional and will be split evenly when the invoice is received.
Sorry, the room is no longer available
