TRANSPORT
The arrival of the Overground at Denmark Hill station has improved access to the City and the East End. An extension to the Bakerloo line has been talked about for years, but in the absence of the Tube, Denmark Hill train station and the numerous buses that pass Camberwell Green are the area’s lifeline.
Denmark Hill station has had a face-lift to coincide with the arrival of the Overground with trains to Whitechapel and further north. Otherwise, there are trains to Victoria in around 12 minutes, to Blackfriars in about 14 minutes, and to StPancras in 23 minutes.
- Denmark Station (Zone 3) is 5 mins walk, which is served by the Southern Trains - offering east access to London Victoria, London Bridge, East Croydon, Shepherds Bush & Milton Keynes
- This makes it ideal for commuting. Transportation in the area is incredibly good and reliable. It has a number of bus routes going in all directions, as well as regular trains that can get you into the more central areas of London within ten minutes.
