The room:
The room is a bright double on the first floor of the house. For storage there is a shelf, a set of drawers, bedside table and a large wardrobe which all come with the room. There is plenty of room under the bed for more storage, and the house has a few cupboards with plenty of space for bigger items. The room is south-facing and receives plenty of light throughout the day.
In covid-times I've also had a my own desk in the room and there is still enough floor space to move around / use the wardrobe with ease.
There is a large bathroom on the same floor as the room that you share with one other. It has a separate shower and (massive) bath, and again plenty of cupboards and shelving space.
The house is really spacious with a bedroom/ en-suite on the top floor and one other other bedroom on your floor. There is a big kitchen and separate large living room. There is also a small garden with a BBQ and outside seating which is inaccessible except for through the house, so can also be used to store bikes if you have one.
Rent is 730 pcm, and bills usually come to about 40-60 (less in summer).
Move in date is the 12th December ideally but can be flexible.
Housemates:
You will be sharing with Kristie (25) and another new housemate Oonagh who will be moving in at the end of November. Both are working professionals, really friendly and like a glass of wine in the evenings!
It’s a chilled house to come back to where we all get on and chat at the end of the day. We’d like someone who is clean, tidy and respects others' space. We've obviously been spending more time with each other recently, and are always happy to chat with wine in the mornings/ evening.
The area:
The house is on a nice tree lined street and about 15min walk to Clapham junction, 15 min walk to Queenstown road, 15 min walk to Battersea Park and the river and a 10 min walk to Asda / Lidl. Clapham Common Tube is about 15 mins away by bus. There are quite a few useful bus routes near (87, 77, 137, 156, 452) and Boris bikes less than a minute from the house. There is a primary school opposite but this has never affected any of us noise wise.
I've lived in the house for almost 3 years and am only moving now due to the new ongoing covid situation to be closer to my partner. I have loved the chilled atmosphere of the house and location/area, and having multiple supermarkets and train/tube/bus stops nearby has been really convenient.
I'm happy to arrange video viewings or in person viewings, so please get in touch :)
