On offer we have a bright airy double room (approx 12 sq metres) with large bathroom (sole use to yourself), King size bed (plus memory foam) with under bed storage, 3 meters of fitted mirrored wardrobes floor to ceiling, wall mounted 50” TV with Netflix account, window views of London Bridge / City!
The bedroom also comes with desk / mirror / dresser / chair. The bathroom is for your sole use - has both a shower and bathtub - its surprisingly spacious!
We’re Kat (31, Russian, Digital Products / Project Manager) and Matt (35, English, Finance Contractor).
We also have a very important flat member - Mr Mistofelees - a Bengal cat - so please be aware anyone who may be allergic would not be suited!
We both work Mon-Fri 9-5’s with typical sports / yoga / gym / friends / drinks - after work during the week, and relaxing at the weekend...or trying to make the most of Europe on our doorstep with city breaks!
The rest of the flat – the living/dining room has a bespoke kitchen island/dining table for entertaining. And the living room has a brand new leather electric reclining sofa, armchair, a bean-bag - comfortably seating 4. There’s a 55” top of the range Samsung Smart TV with full Sky and movies package. If you get bored of that there’s a Netflix account also for your use!
Direct access from the living room on to the balcony and the amazing views of the river/Canary Wharf. Wifi – we have BT Infinity Fibre Broadband which comes in about 75-100mbps. All the usual mod-cons you’d expect – dishwasher, microwave, oven, fridge, freezer… Oh, and the heating is all underfloor – so just turning on the thermostat for each room will heat up the entire room – though we have sparingly had to use this – living near the top of the building means we get a lot of the cumulative heat of the neighbours below turning on their heating!
We also have a weekly cleaner that ensures the flat is kept in nearly new condition.
Complete with the flat comes access of the communal 24 hour gym - full rack of weights, weight machines, cardio, cable towers - for a free residents only use gym this one is probably the best I have seen!
There's also exclusive use of a raised internal landscaped garden on the 2nd storey of the complex only available to residents of this building.
A concierge (available 24 hours a day) ensures you never miss a delivery or package and will hold on to these for you whilst at work - sending you email notifications when you have one delivered! Service also includes ability to leave items for collection (dry cleaning) to be collected whilst you go off to work.
Finally, for those who drive - there is secure underground car parking available - though this does not come inclusive with the flat and would need to be organised separately to the flat lease.
For cyclists - a secure bike cage with combination lock access is available on the ground floor for storage of bikes with that added piece of mind.
The flat itself is on the 16th floor, in a brand new built Barratts development. There are 2 great restaurants within the development - the Pear Tree (Aussie restaurant that has a huge brunch selection) and Plough Way cafe (Italian fine dining) great for weekend brunches. There's a Co-op and a Tesco Express just 2 minutes from the door. For your weekly shop there's a cavernous Tesco Extra open 19 hours a day less than 10 mins walk away! There's also a beauty salon and nursery opened recently within the site. Odeon cinema, Pizza Hut, macdonalds, etc - just 5 mins away.
Transport - Surrey Quays (overground) or Canada Water (Jubilee) can both be reached within 10 minute walk; or the 199 bus can expedite! There's also a Thames clipper from Greenland pier which connects you to Greenwich to the east or tower bridge/embankment/etc to the west. A small clipper can transport you to Canary Wharf via the river for free.
