Looking for someone to take over my lease for this fantastically located flat in Elephant and Castle! You would sign directly with the landloard for June through September.
Costs: Bills are not included and usually amount to 100 pcm.
The room: cozy and fully furnished with a twin bed, wardrobe, wall shelves, a desk + under-desk storage, chair, and a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf. Happy to also leave the bedding/pillows for use during the summer.
The house: split-level with your room on the upper floor, along with the other bedrooms and full bath (shower/bathtub + toilet). Lower floor is home to the kitchen, separate toilet, and a spacious living room + balcony! Kitchen is fully stocked with plates, silverware, cooking tools/pots/pans/etc. House also has a dishwasher and washing machine.
The building: former Council Housing now privately owned. The unit is on the top story, and there is not an elevator in the building. Neighbors are pleasant and quiet.
The roommates: 3 young professionals named Jorge, Oscar, and Juan. All very nice, clean, and keep to themselves! We have a weekly cleaning rotation for common spaces that is well observed by everyone.
The location: Rodney Place stop is a 6 minute walk, Elephant and Castle and Borough tube stations both 10-15 minute walk. 5 minute walk from Sainsbury's local, Tesco express, the Roebuck (great local pub) and Sidney Webb LSE residence. Corner shop across the street (1 minute walk) for late night essentials. As a woman living in the area I have always felt very safe and had no issues even coming home from campus late or leaving early in the morning.
