This is a modern apartment in Bear Flat, right next to an Indian takeaway, a pub, a Coop, a few cafés and Alexandra Park. It's 10 minutes' walk from the train station and there is a bus stop round the corner. It's a friendly, quiet area.
The room isn't huge, but there is plenty of storage space in the spacious wardrobe, so it should be big enough for most people. You could easily fit a bed and a desk and some other small furniture in there.
There is a large communal living room (with PS4) and a galley kitchen with washing machine. Most of the furniture shown in the living room is leaving with my current housemate, but I will be replacing a fair amount of it. The bedroom is unfurnished.
I'm a transgender woman, so I need to live with someone who's comfortable with that and understands it. I'm open to (respectful) questions. Generally, I'm looking for someone relaxed who wants to socialise but not all the time. I'm a homebody myself, but I need my alone time sometimes.
The house comes with high-speed broadband (Zen).
Bills are ~£130 a month.
There is a car park attached to the building with a designated parking space for the flat, which I don't use. So you're welcome to take it.
There is a lift in the building, and disabled access through the back entrance (I think it should be OK, as there are no steps, but it may not be the best access. I'm happy to send photos if desired).
I am a language teacher. I mainly teach English as a foreign language, but in September I will be doing a PGCE in Spanish/French/German. I teach a fair amount online, so I'm around a lot, but I don't mind whether you're a student, a 9-5 worker, or whatever else, as long as you aren't noisy at unsociable hours.
I speak English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Esperanto and a bit of Chinese, so feel free to message me in any of those languages!
