The Ceramic House is a very special, award winning house that I been transforming into a living artwork over the past decade.. it is filled with permanent ceramic installations inside and out and occasionally becomes a pop-up gallery, artists' residency and venue for events. You need to see it to believe it! Visitors come from all over the world to see the artwork and to stay in The Ceramic House. You can have a look by googling The Ceramic House website.

We are looking for a responsible person to live in one of the rooms. You will be sharing the house with me and Joe who is also an artist, and occasional short term guests. We are away a lot so you may have the house to yourself at times and also your own bathroom.

The room available is beautiful, tastefully decorated and furnished with a very comfortable double bed, lovely furniture and needless to say with a fabulous tiled bathroom!

The whole house is furnished with art and antiques. Most of the house and garden has been covered in tiled features, including the kitchen, hallway and utility room.. The garden is really gorgeous. It is a double height patio with four terraces all on different levels with mature climbers and flowers including the best rose bower in Brighton! It is a very private, lovely space full of artwork. There are also front and side gardens.

All bills are included in the rent including wireless internet. There is free parking on the street just round the corner from Fiveways, where there is a shop to suit every requirement. The number 50 and 50U buses stop opposite and take 10-15 mins to get into the centre of Brighton or to the universities. Walking into the centre takes 25 mins or it’s just a 10 min cycle ride. At the end of the road is Hollingbury Woods and the Golf Course, which is where the South Downs National Park begins.

No pets or smoking in the house.
