Hi. My name's David and I'm looking to rent out a double room in my lovely flat, as my current housemate is off on a new adventure at the end of March.

The room is a double overlooking the garden, so it's quiet with a great view. It's fully furnished with antique pine furniture and a comfy bed. There's a big sitting room with a working fireplace, which is lovely in the winter and there's a large (for Brighton!) Sw facing garden which is great for a BBQ or bringing out my famous pizza oven!

The bathroom has a bath and a rainfall shower.
The kitchen is really cool and has all new appliances, including dishwasher, range cooker, microwave and washer dryer. I also have Sky tv, Netflix, Amazon Prime, super fast internet and get a cleaner in for a few hours every two weeks.

I’m definitely looking for a housemate sort of vibe and I’d want you to feel at home as it’s a great place to live. I’d like to find a working professional and someone who's considerate, clean and tidy, as I work long hours and like to keep the shared areas looking nice. My current house mate is a teacher and before that a doctor, they’ve both been great as they work long shifts too and appreciate my need for an early ish night when I’m working. I'm keen to find someone who I can have a chat with and share a glass of wine/ beer and a meal or a film sometimes, but isn't a party animal, as although I still go out a lot the flat tends to be more of a chill out space apart from the odd pizza night/ bbq!

The flat is in a great area between Preston park and Fiveways with lots of nice pubs, parks, shops and cafes around locally. Preston park and London road stations are both a ten minute walk away with trains to London (Brighton station 20 minutes away) There are regular buses on Ditchling road and Beaconsfield villas straight into town, or it's a 20 minute walk to the north lanes. Preston Park is five minutes away and you can also walk/cycle up into the downs from the other end of Balfour road, which are stunning. Parking requires a permit, but there's no waiting list and it's always easy to park!

A bit about me - I'm 44 but definitely don't feel it! I work as a skipper, driving boats on offshore wind farms and at the moment I'm working on the Rampion wind farm off the coast here taking out teams of engineers for RWE, so I'm around all the time, but I have worked abroad a lot. I work shifts so normally two weeks on and a week off. I love live music, travelling, socialising, eating nice food and festivals as well as boats and most things outdoors. LGBTQ+ friendly. Please get in touch if you're interested and we can have a chat and arrange a look around the flat. Looking forward to hearing from you! :)
David
Ps Still meeting people, keen to find the right person rather than rush to fill the room, get in touch if you’re interested. :)
