We have a large double bedroom available from 1 December in our lovely top floor flat on Westfield Park, just off Whiteladies Road.

The rent is £417/month, with bills on top, which come to around £100-120/month (including council tax).

The room comes with a double bed and sofa, and it has good wifi. The flat has a shared kitchen, bathroom, dining area and living room. The living room is currently being used as a home office during the day.

We are Lauren (28) and Ed (35) and have been friends for 10 years, so we really see this as a home, rather than just a place to sleep. Our current housemate (who has been here for two and half years) is moving out because she has bought her own place, so we are looking for a replacement for the remaining 6 months of our current contract (up until the end of April 2021).

Currently, Ed is working from home full time (as a marketing copywriter) and Lauren is working partly from home and partly in college as a singing teacher.

We are both pretty social, but also like our own space. These days, our idea of good time is more along the lines of watching TV, playing board games and making meals together, rather than partying, so we’d prefer someone similar. We are both big theatre fans and book nerds, so if you are into either of those things, that would be a plus!

We like to keep the place tidy and take the coronavirus rules pretty seriously. We try to be respectful of each other, but this is a really fun flat and we’ve all got on really well during lockdown, so we’re ideally looking for someone who can fit in and have fun with us.

Our plan is to have an initial chat with prospective flatmates over Zoom, then invite anyone we think might be a good fit to view the flat in person.
