We’re looking for a professional (no full-time students, please) to come and join us in a 3 bed penthouse flat in Kingsdown, Bristol. Amazing location (town centre, Gloucester Road, Whiteladies Road & Cabot Circus all within a 15 minute walk), even better views, and some okay housemates to top it all off.

Matt, 29, is an ex teacher, now working for a tech consultancy / start up. I work from home 2-3 days a week, and in the office for the rest of the time. Big into sports - I play football a few times a week and golf in the summer - and enjoy some great food and drinks with friends in the evenings and at weekends. Also currently studying for a Masters in Business Administration in my spare time.

Chris, 31, is a project manager in the construction industry, so spends the majority of his working days out and about. Also very active - loves sailing, cricket and boxing. He also drinks more tea than I’ve ever seen anyone work their way through.

We’re both sociable people, who equally work hard so we’re looking for someone in a similar vein. We have Sky/BT and will put any live football/rugby/cricket on so you’ll need to appreciate that too! Somebody who wants to enjoy their flat and be friends with their housemates, and not just looking for a place to live. Our work patterns are generally Mon-Fri 9-5 and the flat probably suits someone working to the same schedule. As a result, we are looking to live with another professional who is working full-time.
This probably goes without saying, but we want to live somebody who is clean and tidy as well! We eat together a few times a week, and we’d love the new housemate to join us on those evenings. Any houseplants you could bring to add to our fledgling collection would be a bonus.

We’re lucky to have a massive living area complete with a large lounge and separate dining / work from home area. All of the communal areas have furniture already, although we’re open to improvements if you have any of your own! The balcony, overlooking the city, gets the sun through the day, and has a few pub-style heaters to make it perfect for bbqs and hosting friends. One of the best views of Bristol you’ll find (see pictures!), and we also have a roof that we can access on those days where just one balcony isn’t enough. This is an unfurnished double room with a shared bathroom (Chris has an en-suite). The bathroom is being refurbed next week to include a walk in shower, and will be ready by the time you move in. With bills (utilities, broadband, council tax, tv) rent comes to approx £680. There is street parking with permits outside the flat and we’ll be able to arrange one for whoever moves in.

We don’t need anybody in until 1st November, but could maybe take somebody in earlier if all of the relevant paperwork can be completed in time. If we find the ideal housemate, moving date could be any time from 1st October. The landlord is great - very friendly and fair - and lives down the road so is on hand on the rare occasion of any problems.
