Looking for a postgrad, PhD or 'mature' student to take over my tenancy from end of April (or some point in May) until mid-September, although flexible (with possibility of renewal for the 2019-2020 academic year) because I am starting a placement abroad. The rent is £130 per week, all bills included. If you're looking for a place to live in Durham for 3-4 months between April and September, please get in touch.

The bedroom is on two floors: the lower level (large study/dressing room) has a desk, chair, armchair and plenty of storage (wardrobe, chest of drawers, shelving, further storage under the stairs with space to hang clothes). Narrow wooden stairs lead to a peaceful attic sleeping area, with double bed (good mattress), bedside table and space for under-bed storage. Beautiful wooden floors and exposed beams on both levels. Plenty of natural light and spectacular views of the cathedral and rooftops across the centre of Durham. Positioned right at the top of the house, the room is very quiet (the only attic bedroom in the house), bright, warm and full of character.

The bathroom on the top floor has a powerful shower and separate bathtub, sink and toilet. Wooden floor and views down onto the garden at the back and across the river (towards Hild Bede).

The kitchen on the ground floor has a big window looking out onto the patio and garden. There is an Aga for cooking, dishwasher, washing machine, plenty of counter space and two shared fridges and freezers. The dining and living room has underfloor heating and is furnished with dining table, lounge area with TV (licence covered) and another seating area with French windows leading out to a paved patio with BBQ and a big, well-kept garden. There are two bathrooms shared between 6 people (each with shower, bath, sink, toilet).

This is a unique student home right in the centre of town. The house is warm, secure and feels like a home, full of character and historic charm. The large house is shared with 6 other friendly and easy-going postgraduate students (MA and PhD) who are hardworking yet fun and sociable. Usually advertised by word of mouth, this is an opportunity not to be missed!
