Bright, decent sized double room available to rent in Queens Park.

The room is currently furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers, clothes rail, storage unit, desk and chair. It’s a bright and cosy room, at the back of the flat, so very quiet. It also doesn’t back on to anyone else’s bedroom, so you don’t have to be too mindful of noise yourself.

Situated on a lovely desirable quiet street, two minutes from the park, 3 minutes from the station (two stops to Glasgow Central) and close to lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants. The flat is a secure ground floor tenement. Neighbours are very friendly and most of the flats are owned, so it’s a well-kept close.

The kitchen is well equipped (including a nutribullet, large freezer and rice cooker etc), with everything you need, plus a table and chairs so you don’t have to eat dinner on your lap. There's also a tumble dryer (although for environmental reasons I try to only use this for towels and emergencies). I would like my flatmate to feel at home here, so you would have full access to the living room. It’s very cosy, with a tv, Netflix etc, and a great projector.

My previous flatmate has taken a job outside of Glasgow, so unexpectedly had to move out. Therefore, the flat is available immediately, until end of May, when the tenancy ends. I’m happy to take short lets but would prefer someone who can commit until then. I can also offer the room unfurnished if you’re looking to take it for the full term. If you need more furniture I'm also happy to provide this. The rent includes all bills except for council tax, as I’m a student and therefore exempt. There is super speedy broadband, with a wifi extender in the room.

I’m an open minded, inclusive person, so would be looking for someone similar. I’m in my 30s and currently in my final year of a degree at Glasgow uni, so I spend a lot of time either in my room or at the library. Therefore, although I’m very laid back, this isn’t really a party flat (well, not anymore!). Again, because I want this to feel like your home too, I would be happy for you to have pals over (within reason). There are two other members of the household – Hamish and Gus, two very friendly cats! Happy to share with a couple, rent would be reasonably adjusted.
