I have a small furnished double room available in a bright 3 bed apartment well connected between Farringdon & Chancery Lane stations. It’s a great area to live in, as it’s safe; easy to walk everywhere, but very quiet; tucked away on a square just off Leather Lane market. We’re a 10 min walk to LSE, Kings, Covent Garden; GOSH or St Paul’s and 20-25 mins walk to Kings Cross, UCL, or Moorgate.
I currently share with my 28 year old flatmate and my gentle, well trained, house cat.
Essentially we’re looking for someone who we can get on well with and who will bring a positive energy to the household.
We respect each other’s privacy and need for space, but it’s a friendly home rather than just a place people stay. We prefer a peaceful haven that we all look forward to getting home to, so we keep our socialising with friends outside of the home. It’s not a party house; it’s more, sometimes sharing a meal or an occasional movie night.
My flatmate is usually here 4 nights a week (Mon-Thurs); he never cooks at home and rarely uses the lounge; as he works long hours and is otherwise at the gym / playing tennis.
Rent includes bills. It's important to us that we live in a clean and tidy home and this must be important to you too. Whilst we do have a cleaner, we still want someone clean and tidy!
The lounge & bedroom are bright spaces as they're south facing. The lounge is comfortable; I have quite a few plants. There’s a well equipped kitchen with a filtered drinking water tap; washing machine, dishwasher, microwave etc. There are two toilets and a shared bathroom (with a bath and shower over the bath, which has excellent water pressure and water softener)
We both go to the gym every day and our work start times are flexible, so there’s not a great demand on the bathroom. I usually work from home and my flatmate works a 5 mins walk away in Holborn. We’re both quiet, but friendly.
The front door opens onto a large communal balcony where I keep several bee & butterfly friendly plants in pots.
