I currently rent a three bed flat in Exeter City Centre & both my existing housemates have now decided to move on, so I have two bedrooms to fill in order to keep it!!
Both bedrooms are unfurnished - a smaller double attic conversion that is currently vacant and a larger master double bedroom that will be available from 12th August. They share a bathroom, with a separate downstairs WC. Large living/dining space & good sized kitchen with dual fuel double range cooker, integrated fridge/freezer & dishwasher. Gas central heating. The communal living areas will be partially furnished with some items belonging to the current tenant.
City Centre location means the main bus station and three of the city’s train stations (St Thomas, Central, St David’s) are all within 10-15 minutes walk, the Quay is a couple of minutes down the road and the heart of the city (daylife and nightlife) is literally just up the road, so we’re in a great location for both work and social stuff.
The downside to that though is that we have very little outside space and no parking - there is a Council run short stay car park at the bottom of our road, but it is very well patrolled and offenders are regularly ticketed, as we’ve found out to our cost!
Working professionals for long term rental preferred - minimum term is 6 months. Rent and bills between 3 people works out to be £525 per month currently (depending on gas/electric usage & future price hikes) - this includes Council Tax, gas/electric, water & broadband. One month’s rent/bills and a deposit of £475 will be required upfront on commencing the tenancy. A guarantor may be required depending on your previous rental history & income - references will be taken as part of the application. My landlady has said she will not accept pets (due to the location and lack of outdoor space), students (due to the high volume of student accommodation already available in the city) and due to the age/features of the building it’s not suitable for children either.
You will be sharing with a 40 y/o guy, a full-time night shift worker who’s pretty easy going & likes travelling, video gaming, cooking and chilling out in a good pub or bar, when work allows!
Please feel free to get in touch for further info or to arrange a viewing. As I work nights and sleep during the day, mornings are the best time for this.
