I live in a spacious 3 bed flat in Dennistoun. My two previous housemates are moving out (both are moving country), so I need to fill both of the extra rooms in our flat.
I managed to break my phone today, so I won't be putting my phone number up until I've replaced it.
We have lovely shared living spaces, including a very large living room with plenty of seating and a well-equipped kitchen.
There is a small commons across the street from the living room that is used by the locals as a dog park. We also have a fenced in garden and brickwork drive. It's quite nice on sunny days to sit outside.
There is one bathroom, it has both a shower and a bath (separate unit). The shower is fed directly from the boiler as opposed to being electric, so it's properly hot and has good pressure.
We're sandwiched right between two lovely streets full of shops: Alexandra Parade and Duke St. There's no shortage of coffee shops, groceries, and other amenities within walking distance, and transit links, both bus and train, are all within a 10' walk.
Utilities, including internet, are included in the rent. Additionally, our landlord is fantastic and lives just above us, so it's easy to get things fixed if there's a problem.
If I can fill both rooms, I'd like to get a cleaning service to drop into the flat once every few weeks just to reduce the communal cleaning burden.
We've always treated the food supply as communal, and being raised on a farm has left me with a compulsion to keep a very well-stocked pantry.
I'm amenable to having pets, but my schedule probably precludes being able to spare much time to help care for them. The landlord keeps a small dog and his door opens into the same drive, so if you do have a critter, it's important that it can play nice.
I have pipes and occasionally smoke them indoors (although I have avoided doing that when I've had, for example, asthmatic housemates). Generally, though, I and the landlord expect smoking to happen outside.
There are two rooms available:
-A nice double bedroom, furnished, with plenty of space, which I'm letting for 425GBP/month. This room is available immediately.
-A smaller, single bedroom that usually serves as a guest room, which I'm letting for 375GBP/month. I'd prefer to have shorter term lodgers in this room (students, interns, etc.). This room is not available until July.
I am also willing to consider couples. If so, I think it would be idea to rent the larger of the rooms for 700GBP/month and treat the smaller room as a shared guestroom, office, workshop, or what-have-you. (This is entirely negotiable as I haven't given that number much thought.)
