YOU ARE TO SHARE THE APARTMENT WITH ONE PERSON – A MIDDLE-AGED MAN. I AM NOT THE LANDLORD. NOR AM I AN ESTATE AGENT.
I am a middle-aged man, a language teacher at the London School of Economics – and the sole occupant of the apartment – looking for a considerate* flatmate for no less than 12 months, preferably a student or someone whose work schedule falls within the hours of 7 am and 10/11 pm.
The flat is opposite the Tube Station, and seconds from bus stops and all amenities. It is in the third floor with double-glazed windows. There is no lift.
The shared space consists of a bathroom, and a kitchen with a stove, a washing machine, a toaster, a kettle, and a small fridge (with no freezer).
There is no living room.
The room has a single bed, wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a table, a chair, and a wood floor. There is an electric heater and no gas.
There will be a new contract to sign on 20 May and a deposit to make. More details are with the property manager.
I will respond if you are a potentially-suitable flatmate**.
I speak English, French and Arabic and want to improve my Spanish.
Breakdown of £525 monthly rent:
£425 rent to be paid directly to the landlord.
Bills to share - minus electricity:
£75 of Council tax.
£10 Internet.
£15 Water.
(?) Electricity
The monthly rent does not include electricity. The bill is to be shared equally*. See details below.
*Because of the recent rise in the electricity tariffs, I cannot know exactly the monthly cost. It also varies from summer to winter. The average estimate according the energy provider is £35 per person.
**Cleaning from time to time and leaving the areas, especially the toilet, the shower tray and the kitchen, clean after use is imperative.
Sorry, the room is no longer available
