My Flatmate is leaving after 3 wonderful years; therefore, I am looking for a new a housemate to fill the spare room.
A bit about the Flat/room:
The flat is on the first floor and is one of four within the building. It has a separate kitchen, separate living room, 1 bathroom, 1 double bedroom at the front of the property (mine) and 1 double bedroom at the back which also has a balcony (yours). I have lived here for 2 and ½ years and personally think the flat is nice and homely. I have loved living here and hope the new flat mate enjoys it just as much. We have a great relationship with the landlord who is also available to help and fix anything if required. Because we have known him for many years, we have the added benefit of speaking to him directly instead of having to go through agencies.
Location:
The flat is in archway and is located very close to all amenities. It is less than a 5-minute walk to Archway tube station, 5 minutes from upper Holloway overground and less than 2 minutes to the nearest bus stop. There are several buses that take you directly into central London and several that take you to the lively area of Highbury and Islington. There are numerous shops located round the corner (less than 5-minute walk) including: Aldi, Sainsburys, Tesco, Coop, M & S and Swift. It is around a 20-minute walk from Hampstead Heath Park and a 45-minute walk to Alexandre Palace.
A bit about me and future tenants:
My names Josh, I’m a 25-year-old PhD student currently studying chemical Engineering at UCL. I primarily work in the office 5-6 days a week and will occasionally work from home once a fortnight. I also work a second job as a bartender 1-2 times a week which usually involves a late finish of around midnight (I’m a bit of a workaholic). Therefore, I tend to be out the flat for quite long periods of time during the day. I enjoy going for runs and walks to the heath and enjoy cooking and being creative in the kitchen. I’d describe myself as an introverted extrovert, I enjoy socialising but also appreciate my own space. I’m quite a tidy person and will usually clean the flat at least once a week. The ideal tenant should be tidy and considerate, but also happy to chat and chill with the occasional pub visit. My girlfriend also stays over fairly frequently, likewise, I have no problem with someone else’s partner coming round and staying over. Due to the layout of the flat and proximity to the other three in the building the flat is not appropriate for parties unfortunately.
This is also an LGBTQ+ friendly flat.
Pricing
Rent - £750-£800pm (Contract is renewed in Oct, this will be confirmed closer to the time)
Bills - £50-£70pp (includes Gas, electric and Wifi)
Council Tax - £54 pp (because I’m a PhD student, there is a discount applied)
The move in date would be from 1st October.
If you think you’d fit in, please drop me a message and we can have a chat, looking forward to meeting you.
