Hello, l am looking for a friendly, clean and considerate professional person who is only occasionally working from home, to share a beautiful, clean and characterful first-floor, two bedroom maisonette flat in Bowes Park area.

Our road is a peaceful, tree-lined street, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Green Lanes, yet a short distance away from Wood Green underground station, Bounds Green underground station or Bowes Park train station. The nearby area is very cute, with many independent shops, restaurants and amenities.

The room on offer (Bedroom 2) is facing South and has a view of the back gardens. It is partly furnished; with a bed frame (and you would need to buy your own mattress), a beautiful wooden closet and one of the black bookcases that are currently shown in the livingroom. The dressing table shown in the picture will be removed, so you could replace it with a small desk if you wanted. We could perhaps rearrange any of the other pieces of furnitire around the house to suit your needs. If you prefer your room to be unfurnished, this is also possible.

There's also a very handy small utility room with a clothes hanger and shelves to store suitcases, coats, extra shoes e. t. c. There's a beautiful shared livingroom, - where l will put my desk and will be working 3 days per week and a good-size kitchen with all amenities, including a brand new fridge/freezer.

We also have a beautiful, south-facing private garden, accessible via a staircase.


The bathroom will be shared between us.
I am an editor working for a Biology journal in a big publishing house with a PhD in Molecular Biology and Postdoctoral research experience. I go to the office twice a week (at not set days) and l am often away (every 1.5-2 months), for work or visiting family, so you'll have the flat for yourself frequently.

Other than that l like listening to music and all things arty, and in the weekends l am out and about but definitely past the party-animal stage. I am generally happy chatting over cooking a meal and sharing the occasional glass of wine, happy to talk to any of your guests and also happy to be on my own. There's no provision for TV in the flat. Just Sky wifi.

Bills are estimated to be ~ £160-170/month/person plus any cleaner's expenses, if we decide to have one.
