Hello! We have been living in this house for over 4 years. The house is very well located across from a park, near shops and take away places, and ten minutes walk from the University of York and the city center. We are a French final year PhD student and his American partner (professional).

We have one furnished double room available (for one person). We are seeking one mature housemate, preferably a professional who does not party during the week.

The room and living room are well heated. The house is a decent size and has an extra (tiny) guest room where visitors can stay, as well as a garage for bike storage and a garden with table and chairs. Our kitchen has a washing machine, dish washer, fridge, microwave, oven etc. We have lots of cutlery and crockery, so you won't need to bring much if you don't want to.

We would like a housemate who cleans up after themselves and is reasonably quiet. We are into strength training, bouldering, video/card/tabletop games, traveling, foreign language/culture (Mandarin, Spanish, French), reading, and food! We are friendly and upbeat people, but tend to keep to ourselves overall.

Council tax will be split three ways only if you are a professional. If you are a full-time student, you won't need to pay council tax.

Please note that we offer the room for 8 months minimum. You will be replacing our current housemate on the lease. This lease ends at the end of July 2021 but there is a possibility of continuation.
