I’m Hai. I’m 26 years old. I'm originally from Vietnam, but have been living in Japan, Canada, Scotland, and now England for the past 7-8 years. I'm a social researcher working with universities and governmental departments on public policy. I also volunteer in other research projects with universities on the side too. I work from home 100%.

I'm looking for a room in a flat/house to move into, preferrably from beginning of March. The moving dates can be flexible, but I can only move in after 26 February. The room needs to satisfy these criteria:

1. Double room, furnished with a double bed (with mattress), a wardrobe, a drawer, and a desk with a chair (the desk is big enough so that I can fit my printer, laptop, screen monitor, and desk lamp). If there are bookshelves, that would be a bonus! (I'm a bookaholic)

2. The room is in a house/flat with at least a shared living room/lounge where we can sit, chill, and watch movie/chat to each other, a furnished kitchen, a bathroom, and a washing machine.

3. The flat/house is preferrably in the selected areas, but I'm happy to consider flat/house outside of the selected areas if the place is decent.

4. Strong wifi broadband (since I work from home).

5. The flat/house is clean and tidy (with weekly cleaning duty or weekly or biweekly cleaner).

6. The rent is up to £600 per month (including all bills).

About myself:

I'm very neat, organised, and tidy. I'm quite easy going, introverted, but also like to enjoy good conversations here and then with flatmates. I respect people's personalities and individual differences and hope to make people feel comfortable being themselves. I'm passionate about science, especially psychology and neuroscience. I have a wide range of hobbies, but you will mostly see me reading books, doing research, cooking, and doing pilates/yoga. I also like knitting, crocheting, and doing other crafts. I like watching sitcoms (especially the 80-00s American sitcoms such as Friends, The Golden Girls, The Big Bang Theory, etc.), movies (any sort!), and documentaries (e. g., David Attenborough's series, science documentaries, etc.). I love animals and plants. My partner is in Edinburgh so you will see me being out usually on the weekends.

What I'm looking for in future flatmates/housemates:

I'm looking for flatmates who are happy to create a homey environment in the flat/house :) I'd like to live with people who are also neat, organised, tidy, and respectful. I'd love if we can have a chat sometimes and share our interests or just sit, chill, and watch movies together. I'd like to live with people who do not party constantly (occasional small dinner hostings are ok). I prefer flatmates who are similar in age or older, but age doesn't matter much if we can get along with each other.
